What Is Hypnotherapy?

Humans have always relied on the fight or flight response for their survival. Problems arise when we spend too much time in this state.  Hypnosis is perfectly natural and should not be associated with stage hypnosis.  It is more like a trance or day dream.  During trance I would never suggest something that had not been agreed with you.  Most of us go into a trance several times a day.  It may have been when you were driving but when you arrived you could not remember the whole journey.  It may have been when you were out walking or watching television.  Hypnosis is a little bit like that but you will feel a lot more relaxed after a session.

What Happens During Hypnosis?

Life can often knock our confidence or self esteem.  Hypnosis allows the subconscious mind to make beneficial changes and choices, letting you be more positive in your outlook on life and therefore able to focus on solutions and help increase self esteem.

Does Hypnotherapy Work?

There is no guarantee that hypnotherapy will work for everyone but I have not seen anybody yet who it has not helped to some degree.

Reduce Anxiety and Stress

During the sessions you decide what small changes you would like to make in your life in order to feel happier and more able to cope.  You may want to begin a new hobby,  start doing exercise or just be more organised.  The list is endless but it is the first small step to making changes in your life that will help you to realise your potential.
